I am trying to change my default email address (in use for ages) due to a company change. While trying to achieve this, you will be forwarded to the generic Oracle SSO profile pages. On that page there you can change your email address, which is also your "username". Alas, changing on your Oracle SSO profile page, your username/email address, is not reflected on the OTN forum profile.
In all my goal is to forward the OTN email to a new email address (instead of the old company email address in use).
How to achieve this...?
Changing your username (e-mail address) is always painful. Read https://forums.oracle.com/message/11023874#11023874 and follow the link as it has some info on this. However most of them are for the old forum, but the action should be the same.
I just tried it.
1. Select Edit Profile & Privacy from the pull-down menu next to my username handle.
2. Click the blue Edit link to manage the Oracle.com Profile account.
3. Click on the link under the Oracle banner to Change Username.
4. Enter current password.
5. Enter new username (email address)
6. Log out
Login with new email address
Result: Complete empty account with typical hex username handle and no content history.
I then did the same again and changed the email back to the previous and everything is back to how it was before.
So this means you cannot change your email address and keep your current account. You can change your username handle though.
