Well, I have osted the bug report for Java 7 U25, so why do you think that it is SUN Java (it is Oracle Java) but the bugtracker for Java (7) is on bugs.sun.com
This is the important excerpt from the email that I've got:
We have determined that this report is a new bug and have entered the bug into our bug tracking system under Bug Id: 9006316. You can look for related issues on the Java Bug Database at http://bugs.sun.com.
Just the bug id number
I searched on https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/issues/#?filter=-4 for 7 U25 and the most recent has a number far below 9006316
It could be fine to get in touch with sender of the email, hope it is not a noreply (who sent?)
It was an automatic reply by the system behind bugs.sun.com and the sender is normally a no-reply
I have never posted the bug on the openjdk project pagew because this is a bug in the normal JDK (and possibly also the OpenJDK project)
Everyone with OpenJDK Author status or above has a JBS account which may be used to create and edit bugs. Those without accounts can view bugs anonymously.
I never had author status, seems just a few people get this status?
These are 2 totally different bugtrackers
Well, this is still the same:
If you hold the Author, Committer, or Reviewer role in at least one
OpenJDK Project then you can modify existing issues and create new
If you do not hold a role of Author or higher then you can still
browse and query the system anonymously. Please continue to submit
new issues via the existing reporting page .
sorry, lately coming back to this.... could be good to get in touch here:
imho thew # is neither working for me, so, please contact the specialists.
happy New Year!
