Single Instance using ASM on HP unix

    user585870

      Dear All,

I am in the process of configuring a database system which will be running on ASM over Hp unix system.

Started the Oracle grid installation. In the ASM config window,it is not showing all the candidate disks, where as it is listing few disks which belongs to the same area ie "/dev/rdisk/*." initially I thought this is a permission issue, but few disks are showing and the other disks are not showing.

did any one come across this issue. please share with me the solution.

          Hi,
Can you see them when you click on "show all disks"?
if you can, what are their status? (former, member etc)
Otherwise  the disks weren't shown to the system properly.
What is your OS? if it is linux, you have to mark disks like asm disks(from asmlib, oracleasm createdisk....)
