I changed my DB to run using SSL on port 1522 (it's a DB I'm playing with, it was originally created using port 1521 and no SSL). SQL works fine but EM thinks it's on 1521 still so it thinks the DB is down (which it's not). How do I change it?
Just to pick a nit and possibly clarify your understanding ...
The database is NOT using port 1521 or 1522 or anything else. The database doesn't listen for its own connection requests and thus doesn't give a flying fig about port numbers. That is the job of the listener, which is completely separate and distinct from the database. It is your listener, not the database, that is using port 1521, or 1522 or whatever.
Your question might be better asked in the OEM forum ... Enterprise Manager
Yeah, I was a little off in my description.
11gR2 (126.96.36.199) on SLES 11 SP3
The listener was changed to 1522 after it was initially setup. I can connect via SQL on 1522 (using SSL) but EM console still shows port 1521 and thinks the DB is down because it can't connect on 1521.
I'll post on the EM forum as well. Thanks.
