Storage can be either ASM or non-ASM in standby and vice versa. Its really not dependent on it,

Thanks guys that was fine, i already done with RAC TO RAC standby.
Only one thing
when i try to open standby database as read only using
srvctl start database -d STAN -o 'READ ONLY'
this gives error that this is wrong command line option (READ ONLY)
can anybody tell me correct command
-o refers to ORACLE_HOME directory
to open read only you can use as below
$ srvctl start database -d STAN -s 'READ ONLY'
Even if you open database directly, standby will open into read only because physical standby can't open in read write mode.
