Hi - I have a 64-bit OS for Windows 7. I'm trying to test trial MDM software by Semarchy, but to do so I need to download Oracle Database Express Edition. However, that's not listed as an option from Oracle?
Perhaps someone could advise of a workaround? I called Oracle Customer Service as was directed to this forum.
|Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2 for Windows x32|
|- Unzip the download and run the DISK1/setup.exe|
- Does not work in Windows x64
Oracle Database Express Edition 11g Release 2 for Linux x64
ase 2 for Linux x64
Currently, there is no XE version available for 64-bit Win OS
There are folks out there who have managed to install 32-bit 11g XE on 64-bit Windows - the install may or may not succeed - if it succeeds, the software may or may not work as advertised.
Is there a reason you cannot use the regular version of 11gR2 - Oracle Database 11g Release 2 for Microsoft Windows (x64)
