Tuxedo Team, good afternoon!
I have a small doubt regarding the Tuxedo OTMQ functionality. The question I have is the following: on the _SAF_ and _DQF_ queues, created automatically when creating the Queue Space, does the max. numbers of messages/data is restricted by the Queue Space size? Or does it only relates to the size available in my system?
And, in case it's limited by the Queue Space disk size, can I configure a disk size of, for instance, 1 TB? Or does the QueueSpace comes with a limitation on it's size?
Thanks very much,
I'm trying to get an exact answer, but I believe you are limited to at least something like 25 times the size of the largest file on the OS of your choice. It may actually be 25x26 or 25x100 maximum sized files. I'll see if I can get a more precise number. In any case, it should be far more than 1TB.
The max number of messages and size of messages determines sizes of tables and limits what can be stored in the queuespace. Please note that for non-persistent messages, you will need adequate IPC resources configured as the messages will all be stored in a shared memory segment. For persistent messages, we just store the message headers in memory and the message bodies are stored on disk.
