    Error(418,30):  cannot find variable FATAL

      hi am having this error in my application i did import

          It is almost impossible that your error is in this line.

          Why?

          Your compile Error message states: Line 549 column 26.

           

          If the line you marked was number 549 the you have almost 500 import statements or 500 comment lines on top of your file which both sounds very unlikely.

          Also the compiler complains that it cannot resolve the symbol ERROR to a variable name, but in the line you marked I don't see the word ERROR.

           

          so go back to your code and examine the line mentioned in the compiler error.

            • Error(575,65): cannot find variable FATAL

            Those are constants/enums from the logger package.

             

            You must have a problem with your classpath or the JDK version you are trying to use.

             

            Post complete info about the JDK, path, GUI (e.g. NetBeans), classpath that you are using as well as how you are compiling the code.
