I am working on a FDM integration to Essbase BSO and am starting a MaxL script from the adapter load script.
For several reasons I cannot use fcalculate.
Everything works just perfect - the only challenge lies in getting the target application and database name in a variable in the load script to using it in the Maxl call (Execute caclulation .... on Application.database).
The information must be stored in FDM in the target adapter somewhere - but I can't access it and pass it to a variable for further use in the maxl call.
Did anyone succeed in using this information (target application & database) in a script?
I appreciate any ideas / suggestions.
fcalculate is just to run calculation scripts either dynamically generated in the script or stored in the Essbase Server.
If you want to run a MAXL script you will have to run essmsh command from FDM script which can be also built dynamically.
Take a look to the CONNECT action script so you will see where Application and Database values are stored in the adapter.ç
