    APEX Listener PDF Print Server in Runtime Only

    backintheday

      Folks,

      [APEX 4.2.4.00.08 on DB 11.2.0.3]

      I am having trouble setting up the APEX Listener as the PDF Print Server in a runtime-only APEX environment.  I'm not even sure of all I need to do.  From what I gather, I need to enable network services, which I have already done.  Then, I think I need to set APEX to use the APEX Listener as the print server.  That's what I don't know how to do.  I have tried the following:

      BEGIN
          APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.SET_PARAMETER('PRINT_BIB_LICENSED','STANDARD');
          APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.SET_PARAMETER('PRINT_SVR_PROTOCOL','http');
          APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.SET_PARAMETER('PRINT_SVR_HOST'    ,'localhost');
          APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.SET_PARAMETER('PRINT_SVR_PORT'    ,'8888');
      --    APEX_INSTANCE_ADMIN.SET_PARAMETER('PRINT_SVR_SCRIPT'  ,'');
      END;
      /

      Is this correct?  I also tried 'https' to no avail.

      Here is the error I am receiving when I try to print a PDF from APEX in the runtime environment:

      Error processing request.

      ORA-20001: The printing engine could not be reached because either the URL specified is incorrect or a proxy URL needs to be specified.
