By downgrading to JDeveloper 184.108.40.206.0 and JDK 1.6.0_45, the Enterprise Manager Plugin Builder is now showing up in the Preferences and New Gallery sections, but not to the extent shown in the Plug-in Builder documentation. I only see an option for "EM Plugin Application" in the "Enterprise Manager Plugin" category and "Target Collection" and "Target Type" in the "Metadata" subcategory. I would like to use the "Enterprise Manager Plug-in from sample Plug-in", but it is not available. Any thoughts on this?
Also, any idea when the Plug-in Builder will be supported in JDeveloper 12c?
Check the EDK Build Number you are using. The expected build number to be 130913. If it is older you will not see the new options.
PDK Version: 220.127.116.11.0
Build Number: 130913
I had Build Number 130621 and was seeing the same symptoms as reported above. After updating to Build 130913, I now see the option(s) to create from a sample Plug-in.
That did the trick, thanks! Any ideas as to when Plug-in Builder will be officially supported in JDeveloper 12c?
I think I am hitting the same issue. Main question now is, from my side, how do I upgrade the build version? Is there a specific patch for that I need to apply to OEM server? Or is there a patch I can download and directly deploy on my development workstation?
Run 'Self Update' in online mode to get the latest revision of EDK.
