      Hi Experts,

I'm trying to install Oracle with ASM on OEL5, 11G R2

I have installed necessary RPMs,  Created ASM disk groups.

They are shown in OS level.

When i try to install grid infrastructure as Grid user, ASM disk groups are not listed up.

Kindly let me know where i am wrong.

      Created groups as follows.

      groupadd -g 501 oinstall

      groupadd -g 502 dba

      groupadd -g 504 asmadmin

      groupadd -g 506 asmdba

      groupadd -g 507 asmoper

      useradd -u 501 -g oinstall -G asmadmin,asmdba,asmoper grid

      useradd -u 502 -g oinstall -G dba,asmdba oracle

      [root@asmhost /]# oracleasm listdisks

      DATA1

      DATA2

      OCR

      [root@asmhost /]# ls -l /dev/oracleasm/disks/

      total 0

      brw-rw---- 1 grid asmadmin 8, 33 Apr  8 17:02 DATA1

      brw-rw---- 1 grid asmadmin 8, 49 Apr  8 17:02 DATA2

      brw-rw---- 1 grid asmadmin 8, 17 Apr  8 17:01 OCR

      [root@asmhost /]# oracleasm status

      [root@asmhost /]# oracleasm querydisk ocr /dev/sdb1
