What you mean "single node grid server installed" ?
Have you installed Grid Infrastructure and did it finish ok?
You give Cluster name, host names and VIP names when you install Grid Infrastructure.
And with cluvfy you can use host name as node name.
or you can run cluvfy with -n all. For example this way (you don't need to know node name):
cluvfy comp asm -n all
Here is guide for cluvfy:
Usually when you install Oracle RAC you need at least two nodes where to install (or one physical nodes and at least two virtual machines in it).
Here is installation guide for Linux:
and for Windows:
Is it a one node Grid Infrastructure install ? Then, you wouldn't be using cluvfy
Is it a multi-node (clustered) Grid Infrastructure install ? Then, you would use cluvfy
Was ASM configured during the install or subsequently ?
Is it a RAC One Node database install ?
Is it a RAC database install ?

Your nodelist is nothing but your hostname. Since you only have 1 node then the nodelist would comprise of only 1 node name.
For example when you execute cluvfy you would execute the same as
cluvfy stage -pre crsinst -n vmrac1 -verbose (where vmrac1 is the nodename)
From 11gR2 onwards the CRS and ASM are integrated together and is know as Grid Infrastructure now
*1of7* and *2of7* files are the ones which have the RDBMS software, and *3of7* is the one for CRS+ASM=Grid Infrastructure(GI)
