Did you check DBID after creating control file? Because cause of error is DBID not matching in controlfile & DB files
Cause: Catalog failed because the database id in file header does not match the one in controlfile.

I think you want to say that when backup is created the control file did not get the same dbid as db files.
How to find dbid from a control file?
Must dbid of source and target machine be same while restoring hot backup?
I do review the suggested doc.
