I know how to do in in the server .. Basically what I did was copied the agent folder from server to my local machine is there a way that I can create a agent that can run from my local machine. I also want to know if there is a way I can run a agent from my local machine which was created in server
As I've told you above, you can't just copy folders from a server to your laptop. This is not the right way to install a product, whatever it is...
The installation of a standalone agent is exactly the same for the server and your own laptop. So if you really want to install a standalone agent, please follow the links provided in my previous post.
Anyway, as it displaying an error message about odiparams.bat, I guess it's 11g (thanks for providing the details...).
Just open that file and enter the information to connect to you repository. That step is described at the beginning of the link I gave you...
You can also use the local agent (also called "no agent") which is embedded into ODI Studio. So you can start your execution from ODI Studio selecting the local agent or you can use the startscen command : Running Integration Processes - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)
You asked: I also want to know if there is a way I can run a agent from my local machine which was created in server
If this agent is started on the server, and is configured (and added in the topology) to the same odi master repository to which you connect to, then I don't think you have anything more to do here.
You can use this agent for the executions.
