On the Solaris installation I have python 2.6.
I just ran "Package Manager" and installed python 2.7, but when in Terminal I issued "python", I still see the python 2.6.
I tried to remove python-2.6, but there are a lot of dependencies on it.
So my question is: how do I run python-2.7? Is it possible to recompile everything with python-2.7 and completely remove python-2.6?
Run "pkg mediator python" and see what is shows:
MEDIATOR VER. SRC. VERSION IMPL. SRC. IMPLEMENTATION
python vendor 2.6 vendor
pkg set-mediator -V 2.7 python
