Possibly a bug. Log an SR with Oracle support. They will help you trace / debug the rman session and identify the rman query that fails and, possibly, why it fails.

- Which version of Oracle do you have for your Target DB ?
- Which version do you have for your catalog DB ?
- Have you done a migration, clonation, Change the name of some Database, etc ?, You cannot maintain 2 databases with the same name and ID in the same catalog
- Look for this bug and see if it applies:

Confirm target,catalog database version and recovery catalog schema version.
The oracle version is same for both catalog and target database
No Nothing of that sort has been done in the recent past and it been working fine till last month .
You may be hitting an Oracle Bug which is fixed in Oracle11g, 18.104.22.168.
Have you looked at Oracle Support ?, then maybe is a Bug
