Thanks Pascal, could you make that bug visible please? I can't find it using the MOS search field.
Also, there's "Bug 15813089 : SUNBT7195032 MRTG 2.16.2 FROM SOLARIS REPOSITORY IS TOO OLD AND DOES NOT WORK ON" already.
I'll add the mrtg bug to my list of things you'll never fix (right next to "Bug 15667449 : SUNBT6982901 PHP-CGI GENERATES WARNINGS REGARDING DYNAMIC LIBRARY FAILURES")
PS: I can't find mrtg/rrdtool @ https://java.net/projects/solaris-userland/sources/gate/show/components?rev=1978, does that mean you're dumping both in Solaris 12?
The bug report can be visible only if the bug owner set it as public. This is currently not the case and you should wait until the bug owner changes the status.
The second one is public. And the last one you mentioned, the problem is not reproducible with the latest SRU.
Here's what's available with Solaris 11.1 with the latest SRU 20.5:
$ pkg info -r mrtg
Summary: Multi Router Traffic Grapher
Description: The Multi Router Traffic Grapher (MRTG) is a tool to monitor the
traffic load on network-links. MRTG generates HTML pages
containing PNG images which provide a LIVE visual representation
of this traffic.

Is that so?
root@vmware:~# pkg list entire

It still is here
Perhaps, it may be good to vote (I did) on the referred to URL in order to have the bug fixed more quickly.
With a PHP 5.6 release very soon now, I doubt anyone over there at php.net still cares about PHP 5.3
Also the bug states it worked once but was broken during the OpenSolaris days…
