I have not observed this behavior in the past using the certified versions of Firefox/JRE. You may want to first clear both your temporary internet cache AND your JRE cache and see if that fixes the problem.
If that does not, you may want to try a different combination of JRE and browser and see if that resolves. Not sure which CM version you are on, but that will drive which browser versions and JRE to try.
If that fails, you should submit an SR to Oracle Support to have them look at it.
Thanks. I tried this and it does not fix the problem. We are wtih CM Version 220.127.116.11, Build 2458. We will restart the server tonight and install a couple of patch isued by Oracle to see if it fixes the problem. We have serious issues with navigation and it is very hard to have CM work well on the long term.

I have been in one clients' system with that same build (18.104.22.168 B2458) and not had the problem you are encountering. In that instance, I'm accessing via JRE 1.7.0_09 and IE9
However, I DO get strange behavior with Firefox 30.0--so you may want to try Chrome or IE or go back to an older version of Firefox.
We updated CM last night with the lasts patch and it seems to fix the issue. Thnaks for your help. Will see on the long term if it is ok.
Good to hear.
