If it's got a Report Prompt (what you're calling an inline prompt), it will always display on a Dashboard I think.
What is the use case for it being standalone with a Report Prompt - can you not always present it through a dashboard, even if it's just a single page dashboard with dashboard prompt, as well as the new dashboard you're including it on.
I am trying to create a distinction between Analyses that are standalone and will be accessible to a given set of users verses dashboards which may be accessible to a more limited set of users.
I see that you can create a dashboard per analysis but this would create a jungle of Analysis-Dashboards vs True-Dashboards...hope that makes sense.
I don't think there is any way around it. Either you maintain two copies of the report (one with Report Prompts, one without), or you have a single Analysis that is presented to different users through different dashboards.
