But not able to establish the connection.
Specifics please. What have you tried, what is the error, etc.
Please post the full error message ( with any stack trace) .
When you say 'not able to establish connection' - have you tried
- ping to the DB host name - does it work ?
- telnet on the DB host name / port - does it work ?
- Verify if the DB & its listeners are up .
- Verify the serice name / listener name etc as in tnsname.ora are valid and match the names on the DB host.
Try to use instance in your connection string instead of service connection: jdbc:oracle:thin:@<specific cluster node>:1521:<specific instance that runs on this node>.
The correct connection string template is jdbc:oracle:thin:@[host]:[port]:[sid], not jdbc:oracle:thin:@[host]:[port]:[service name]
Or maybe you have entered service name after @ in field user name.
Try to enter only DWSMP in field user name (or is it a domain name?)
I have tried that too with @service name. But no luck..
Enter node name instead of scan name, and sid instead of service name. Do not use service name using this jdbc driver.
Can you please give any syntax like that. I am bit confused..
the syntax is the same.
Simply instead of host name of scan (blabla.bivz.com) use host name or ip address of some node of your cluster and instead of service name use oracle sid of instance that is running on that node.
