    ORA-12520, ORA-12514, ORA-12528, ORA-12516 Errors

    2937576

      Hi,

We have Oracle 11G x64 installed on the server. 32bit client is installed on client PCs. Clients claim that they lose connection to the database, and recovers after a while. Also, restarting listener and database instance services fixes immediately.

Clients get ORA-12520 error. But I see 12514 and 12528 errors in the logs. I have read a lot about the errors, got confused couldn't address the issue in my case.

Is there anything wrong with my settings or the environment?

Configuration files and listener logs are below.

      Thanks in advance.

You can check out this link similar to your issue

TNS:listener could not find available handler witht matching protocol stack

Also check select * from v$resource_limit ; whenever this issue occurs

your process parameter may be too low

, is  no of process  reaching close to what defined in your process parameter of spfile?

          Can you verfy this

Thank you for the reply. I have checked the thread. I have checked my parameters. But it doesn't seem to be using spfile. I tried to create spfile, but no succsess

changing the case of the command from uppercase to lowercase isn't going to give you more privileges.  Read the error message.  Believe the error message.  Research the error message.  You are not logged on with an account that has the privileges needed for the commands you are using.

I am so sorry all! I am not familiar with Oracle and Sql. Sorry for confusing you! I didn't intend to fool you on purpose!

Here is the output with the corrected commands.

                              <start> is: @<URL>|<filename>[.<ext>] [<parameter> ...]

Runs the specified SQL*Plus script from a web server (URL) or the

local file system (filename.ext) with specified parameters that

will be assigned to substitution variables in the script.

When SQL*Plus starts, and after CONNECT commands, the site profile

(e.g. $ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/admin/glogin.sql) and the user profile

(e.g. login.sql in the working directory) are run.  The files may

                            contain SQL*Plus commands.

To what numbers should I increase those processes and sessions values? Transactions also? Or any other values? There will be around 40 clients connecting concurrently.

                              Regards

Thank you! I have checked that. Can you advice to which values should I increase?
