    Oracle Enterprise Manager Console

    446484
      Hello,

I was able to install 10.1 client on Mac OS X 10.4.1 and it runs fine.

But I don't find additional tools, which are found in Windows version of Oracle Enterprise Manager, like Lock Monitor, Performance Manager, Performance Overview, Top Sessions, Top SQL, Oracle Expert, Tablespace Map, SQL Analyze ...?

Are they missing in Mac version of OEM or it needs to be run with a different command than oemapp console or oemapp dbastudio?

      Regards,
      Damjan

No, it's part of the server installation.

                    Ok.

I get this error in Enterprise Manager in the machine where is installed Oracle and the databases.

I open Safari and write this address:
                    http://powerbooks-powerbook-g4-12.local:5500/em/

After that, I receive this message in the browser:
"The status is currently unavailable. It is possible that the database is in mount or nomount state..." I press the 'Startup' button, I could enter in the next page my host credentials and database credentials. Then I confirm to startup the database in open mode.

After that, I receive again this message in the browser:
"The status is currently unavailable. It is possible that the database is in mount or nomount state..."

I press again the startup button, after this I enter my host and database credentials, I receive this message:
"SQLException Io Exception: The network adapter could not establish the connection", but below I see the message to shutdown immediate the database. I confirm that, then I refresh the state of the page.

After this, I return to the beginning. I can't see the administration link.

If I try to perform a recovery, after I enter my host credentials and database credentials, I receive the "IO Exception: The Network Adapter could not establish a connection".

I hope you could help me.

                    Thanks in advice.

                    Mike.

the services are not running,,, check in the control panel->administrative tools ->services and see that the services starting with ora as initials are working or not or start them manually.. should solve the problem
