When trying to do a Oracle database dump or export, be it full entire database export or a particular user or table export, the following message appears right after status of exporting a table.
EXP-00091: Exporting questionable statistics
Due to which i am not getting proper backup, so what should i do ?

    This error just states that the statistics being exported for the object in question appear to be out of date. This does not affect the data integrity of the export. You can add the export parameter "statistics=none" - this will prevent statistics from being exported, and you will need to analyze the objects after import. This will stop the warning messages.

    It's a NLS_LANG setting issue. To avoid that do as follows :
    SYS@orcl SQL> select * from NLS_DATABASE_PARAMETERS
      2  where parameter in('NLS_LANGUAGE','NLS_TERRITORY','NLS_CHARACTERSET');

    PARAMETER                      VALUE
    ------------------------------ ----------------------------------------
    NLS_LANGUAGE                   AMERICAN
    NLS_TERRITORY                  AMERICA
    NLS_CHARACTERSET               WE8MSWIN1252

    SYS@orcl SQL>
    At OS level, before exporting

    $ export NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252 (Unix/Linux)

    C:\> set NLS_LANG=AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252 (Windows)

    of course change values with yours.

    Thanks Paul,

    I have always just used statistics=none and regenereated stats after import, I never bothered to investigate futher. After reading your post I did some investigations into the EXP-00091 error and the statistics parameter and now I am armed with the full facts
