It seems to be just five. Not first 5, for example :
* • Database - General
* • Application Express
* • Berkeley DB
* • Berkeley DB High Availability (Replication)
* • More...
There was a similar problem in the past : About Forum / Category sort list
Correct - after Database-General, these are now listed in alpha. order.
I liked "Busiest First" :) Berkley DB doesn't interest me as much as "Installation" does...
Yes, please change it back to the top busiest (actually top 4) like it was 2 days ago.
Some of the forums listed on the top page have hardly any activity at all.
Perhaps that is why they have made the change ... a convenient way of telliing us that there is a Berkeley DB forum.
In the long run, I personally would prefer having a 'home page' which, after sign in, would allow me to specify all the forums I want to see in my preferred order.
My interim work-around - use Firefox' bookmark toolbar to make the forums home page largely irrelevant.
But I agree that this has been a de-provement, and would prefer to see it restored to the way ot was before this latest 'upgrade'.
I agree Hans, a portal where you could pick and choose the forums would be nice.
After some additional thinking ...
rather than just chose those I want, simply be able to order the list. This way I get to place the ones of interest on the top AND Oracle gets to advertise the new ones.
Where is Oracle Portal when you need it? <g>
This was an experiment that obviously didn't go over well. We will restore previous order.
Sorry, self-ordering not possible in Jive.
Thanks for restoring the ordering. It was an interesting experiment, even if it didn't work out.
I guess Jive will need to get enhanced at some time. <g> (as if it doesn't already ...)
Thanks for the speedy response. The new order is much nicer... with all of the leading boards easy to see.
