          Hi jc,

When you ran adpreclone.pl, was the global inventory pointing to the apps 12.2 inventory?  I had a similar issue when trying to clone and the global inventory was changed to another environment.

          Regards,

          Michael

            Hi Michael ALL,

This is the instance I mentioned to backup and restore to new server, but the oraInventory was removed or not restored at its is empty.

I got this solution from blog:

            RC-50208: Exception in method TimedProcessProcess.run

              RC-50208: Exception in method TimedProcessProcess.run

            script returned:

            Solution :

Rerun adpreclone.pl on source tier to generate a fresh FMW_Home.jar, Make sure your oraInst.loc is pointing to the correct location at source before running the preclone.

I already run above preclone but I am not sure if it got the correct oraInst.loc because I created a new one

            Please help....

            Kind regards,

              Hi JC

              Follow the below steps

run the pre-clone command and Copy FMW_Home.jar file from the source to the target.

                  Hi Shaik and Michael,

I checked the file and it is existing

                  find /oracle/appascp2/ASCP2/fs2 -name FMW_Home.jar

                  /oracle/appascp2/ASCP2/fs2/EBSapps/comn/clone/FMW/FMW_Home.jar

                  /oracle/appascp2/ASCP2/fs2/EBSapps/comn/adopclone_ebizascp/FMW/FMW_Home.jar

They have also the same size with the source and target:

                  Source:

                  -rw-r--r--. 1 appascp dba 718775243 Jun  7 19:13 /oracle/appascp/ASCP/fs2/EBSapps/comn/clone/FMW/FMW_Home.jar

                  Target:

                  -rw-r--r--. 1 appascp2 dba 718775243 Jun  7 19:13 /oracle/appascp2/ASCP2/fs2/EBSapps/comn/clone/FMW/FMW_Home.jar

                  Please help.....

                  Kind regards,

The clue is > , Make sure your oraInst.loc is pointing to the correct location at source before running the preclone.

But my source location is empty?

                      Hi ALL,

I also found this similar issue/solution:

The issue, main cause and resolution is shared below :

                      Currently :-

                      E-Business Suite Environment Information

                      ----------------------------------------

                      RUN File System : /opt/oracle/apps/VIS124/fs2/EBSapps/appl

                      PATCH File System : /opt/oracle/apps/VIS124/fs1/EBSapps/appl

                      Non-Editioned File System : /opt/oracle/apps/VIS124/fs_ne

                      DB Host: appsdbaportal.blogspot.in Service/SID: VIS124

                      Target Server Clone error :-

Issue : During the EBS R12.2.4 apps tier cloning, we faced issues regarding the domain deployment for the run edition. Exact error as per clone log :

                      RC-50208: Exception in method TimedProcessProcess.run

Raised by oracle.apps.ad.util.TimedProcess$TimedProcessProcess: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/opt/apps/VIR122/fs2/FMW_Home/webtier/perl/bin/perl": error=2, No such file or directory

Cause : The patch-backup.xml file inside the “/patch_wls1036/registry” directory pointed towards the wrong RUN_BASE in source system.

Resolution : Change the below parameter to point to source RUN_BASE

                      Source Server Clone error:-

                      /opt/oracle/apps/VIS124/fs1/FMW_Home/modules/javax.mail_1.1.0.0_1-4-1.jar

                      To

                      /opt/oracle/apps/VIS124/fs2/FMW_Home/modules/javax.mail_1.1.0.0_1-4-1.jar

                      Where RUN_BASE=/opt/oracle/apps/VIS124/fs2  and PATCH_BASE= /opt/oracle/apps/VIS124/fs1

After correcting the parameter rerun the adpreclone and start the apps tier clone from Source server to Target server

                        Hi jc,

Your FMW_HOME.jar is about 700 MB and needs to be 4.7 GB.  Please recreate the global inventory on the source as shown below and rerun adpreclone.pl.  Then tar/zip up the run $COMMON_TOP/clone directory and copy to the target and unzip -o.

                          Thanks Michael,

The database side was successfully cloned, and it has added entry to the inventory.xml,

But for the apps tier, I manually registered the source apps, so it got f1, and fs2 entries.

                          # cat inventory.xml

                          <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes" ?>

                            Hi jc,

It appears from your inventory that you only have 2 of the 8 required Oracle Homes present for the ASCP source instance.

Let me know how it goes.

                            Regards,

                            Michael

                              Noted Sir

So it is very important to backup and restore the inventory.xml?

                              Kind regards,

                                Hi jc,

if if you want to clone successfully, it is required to have a complete oraInventory will all 8 appTier homes present before running adpreclone. Then you will get a complete 4.7 GB FMW_Home.jar and your adcfgclone can complete without error.

                                Regards,

                                    Hi jc,

                                    Type

                                    ps -ef | grep oui

                                    ps -ef | grep runInstaller

Kill any other processes updating the inventory.

Also, when you paste the commands for runInstaller, they are on one line?  They need to be.

                                    Regards,

                                    Michael
