Documaker ships a set of fonts based on the Windows code page 1252. This code page includes French characters. If you are using fonts that are built for the Windows code page 1252 (standard Windows code page for North America and Western Europe), you can find those characters at https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc195054.aspx.
Yeah, it isn't exactly clear what you want to know. The TM (trademark) character isn't a French character. Also note that if your "input file" method is XML,you can't simply copy those characters into the file using just any editor as the ultimate XML needs to be UTF-8 encoded as well.
If you just want a way to see the characters and perhaps copy and paste them rather than type in the ALT+ code, current versions of Windows offers a "Character Map" application. Search for it from the system menu or locate it under the Accessories/System Tools. This also shows you the keystroke information to help type them.
