Yes we delete contents _pages and compile jsp and delete cabo cahes and restart opmnctl . all of this actions to bring look and feel to normal . But our issues is repeated randomly and provided action plan requires restart middletier .

do you see any useful info in logs -- oacore,application,opmn...?
we faced similar issue after RPC patches and followed the same steps, later the issue was not reproduced.
You can check if all FWK patches applied in instance. and I would suggest to have SR and follow it up.
