Everything looks fine from a set up perspective. I can't tell if the Rule is correct because I don't know what the short names for your custom dimensions are. The default short name for Custom1 is C1 but you could have Custom1 as well. Same for FLOW - is that the short name or the long name?
So I would expect it to be something like this for Custom1:
HS.SupportsTran "S#Actual.A#Trade receivables.FLOW#Opening Balance.C1#Custom1"
of course Custom1 and Flow are short names for this application.
but i'm unable to know where the error is
This issue may be caused by one of the following:
- Application setting DefFreqForICTrans for the Scenario is preventing entering data in other periods (ie. is set to YTD)
- Incorrect syntax for HS.SupportsTran has been used in rules
The Syntax seems to be OK but please check the first one
I thought it had to be MTD because it's transactions not balances but that might be because of our source data. Anyway it's set to MTD on our application for YTD Actuals and the source data is periodic transactions.
Yes. Can this be set to Periodic and check?
Don't confuse Frequency and View.
Frequency is the level in the Period dimension that you will load to. That is, are you loading to months, quarters, or year?
View is the accumulation of flow data from the beginning of the year, so this is either Periodic or YTD.
Since your scenario has a default frequency of MTD this means you are loading data to January, February, March, etc. I see that the frequency you defined for intercompany transaction however, is YTD which means the only valid period is [Year] which is just one 'bucket' of data per year, not twelve, Is this intentional or do you want to load ICT data to the same periods you load regular data? If so, change the DefFreqForICTrans to MTD.
