UTM Web Analytics Integration with Eloqua

Hello, I have a problem with UTM integration with Eloqua, I read the article below and ask more clarification on the UTM campaing name that I need to do my reporting but none answer me.

Basic Web Analytics Integration with Eloqua

      Can someone help me? Please?

Basically my problem is that at the beggining of this very usefull post Basic Web Analytics Integration with Eloqua says that:

The UTM Parameters have already been activated in Eloqua, this means that all email sent from Eloqua will have the parameters below added to ALL links:

      –Type of Media (Email),

      –Source of Media (Eloqua),

–Name of the Campaign (Eloqua Campaign Name) and

–Information about Content (Eloqua Email Name).

BUT when I have a look to the links with UTM tracked, I cannot find the eloqua campaign name but only the eloqua email name ( utm_campaign=Eloqua-Email-Name)

how can I track the campaign name as utm_campaign    and

      the email name as utm_content?

this will allow me to differenziate the source of form that comes from 2 different campaings which have the same email names.

      Thank you very much

This is how you configure the external tracking:

          1. Go to Email Defaults.

          2. In the upper right corner click on Manage External Tracking:

          3. Reconfigure your existing configuration or klick (star) New button to create a new one.

Here is an example that we are using:

          utm_campaign=<eloqua type="emailfield" syntax="elqWAEmailName" />&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Eloqua&elq_campaign_id=<eloqua type="campaign" fieldname="id" />&elqCampaignId=<eloqua type="campaign" fieldname="id" />

And as you can see it's just a matter of changing and replacing what goes into which utm value.

          4. Once you have saved your new or existing configurations, you have to select it on the Email Defaults page and save your selection.

Please let me know if you need more details on how to configure this.

            Hello Linus,

thank you very much, I will ask to our global eloqua administrator to do the new setting.

I will let you know in case of need for more details.
