Where is the graph stored?
Filesystem? Database? Somewhere else?
Its stored in oracle database as Property Graph tables
Ok, I thought so as I also saw the loading from the database was very slow compared to loading from file system (didn't time it properly but a 15'002'095 nodes and 70'242'424 edges took at least 15-20 minutes on a sandbox).
I didn't see something obvious so far, not many options to be fair (there is a method called "setMaxNumConnections" in the java class defining the config, didn't test if it has any impact, it's the only one which sounded like could play a role in the end).
I was about to explore a bit more how the loading is done to see if there is something which could be improved. So curious to see if some Oracle people have a better view in that
Thank you. I will try with setMaxNumConnections method.
Please let me know if you find any thing on optimizing the data load
setMaxNumConnections is not helping with performance
I started looking at it and saw that it seems to use flashback, which could make queries slower. But weirdly enough most of the queries don't even show up in the "live sql" report of SQL Developer.
There are definitely still some mysteries there behind on how the data get out from the database and into PGX.
Will keep exploring it to see if I can get some hints on how to improve things.
