Hploh Apr 24, 2019 2:45 PM (in response to Hploh)I just did those steps.
1. changes on all the weblogic db connection string <done>
2. Run the configtool.sh to reconfigure the DB <done>
3. Run the configtool.sh to re-deploy the all application. <done>
4. Started hyperion application
5. Verify by login to the ODI console, we lost all the configuration. Checking the details of Global context and other things, the created time shown today date. It seem the data been created.
*note, during the configure domain using configtool.sh, it ask about reuse or drop db, I selected the reuse option.
I not sure if I run any incorrect steps? I checked with oracle, and as per update, the configtool.sh will not overwrite anything.
Anyone have the similar issue? Please advise, thanks!

JohnGoodwin Apr 24, 2019 3:15 PM (in response to Hploh)It might be related to "EPM System Configurator for FDMEE database clears ODI information (Doc ID 2229338.1)", I am sure one of the latest patches fixes that issue though it depends which patch release you are on.
Cheers

Hploh Apr 25, 2019 5:57 AM (in response to JohnGoodwin)Hi John, thanks for the metalink. Appreciate!
Do you know if this also affect the planning, Financial reporting, etc by running the configtool.sh to reconfigure db, and application deployment? Thanks!
Our FDMEE is at 11.1.2.4.210.012

Hploh Apr 25, 2019 8:25 AM (in response to JohnGoodwin)Thanks! Good to know. Our team will verify the other product for the meantime.
I have a support ticket with Oracle but haven't get the solution yet.
You mentioned about the possible patch, I tried to search around the patch but maybe my used keyword is not the correct, I didn't get any recommended patches.
Do you have keyword for me to search it? thanks!

JohnGoodwin Apr 25, 2019 9:20 AM (in response to Hploh)It might have been resolved in 11.1.2.4.220 though I can't be certain.

Hploh May 15, 2019 7:46 AM (in response to JohnGoodwin)HI John,
Need some advise, do you aware run the configtool.sh will causing the FDM's (FinancialReporting, FoundationServices, Planning, CalManger, etc) setCustomParamsComponent.sh be overwritten?
The setCustomParamsComponents that i refer to is:
setCustomParamsFinancialReporting.sh
setCustomParamsFoundationServices.sh
setCustomParamsPlanning.sh
setCustomParamsRaFramework.sh
I mean some of the custom parameter that added prior to running configtool.sh seem be missing.

iArchSolutions-Joe Jul 12, 2019 2:16 AM (in response to Hploh)Hi Hploh - yes - whenever you run the configTool.sh setCustomParam files do get "touched" and often times reset to defaults. Same is true for certain OHS files like the httpd.conf, ssl.conf, mod_wl_ohs.conf. If SSL enabled EPM environment I always grab the keystrokes and Oracle Wallets as well. Better to error on the side of caution.
Always backup those files, grab a copy of the EPMSystem registry (epmsys_registry.sh) EPM Topology Report (epmsys_registry.sh report deployment) before you run the config or installer. Just a good best practice.
Do you need help with any of the missing settings?
