I have requested recently a free Oracle 10g Enterprise edition. I have insalled the oracle on my XP but the samples were not installed in the oraclehome/.../demo/...
According to the docs I should be able to install them thru DBCA or manually thru running scripts such as hr_main.sql etc.
Please advice how and where to find the complete .sql's script for all the sample schemas( HR, OE, OC, PM etc) ?
They are not installed , nor I can find them on the CD companion CD's.
Is this because I HAVE THE FREE/TRIAL EDITION ??????
Thanks in advance

I found it, it is indeed on the companion CD, I was browsing for the sql scripts, but apparently they were compressed some where and I had to install the whole CD and only then would be intalled on the HomeDirectory/../DEMO/ forlder.
Thanks for the viewers for sharing this thread
Great help. I downloaded the Companion CD and tried to install it to the same Oracle home directory as indicated in the "intalled product". In my case:
Destination name: OraDb10g_home1
Destination Path: D:\oracle\product\10.2.0
But, I still receive the message "Oracle 10g Database Companion CD products can only be installed into an existing 10g Oracle Home" after selected the "Oracle Database 10g product 10.1.0.2.0 " option
What did I do wrong?
I followed steps listed in the para. 3.4 again and verified oracle home directory path and no Oracle_Home environment variable. I still got the same message after step 10 of para. 3.4.2.
Thanks for your earlier response.
Oh Yes. But the script does not allow the user to create the tables. For example: if one looks into the demo/ schema/human_ressources, one will find hr_code.sql instead of hr_main.sql to generate various table spaces. It is the hr_main.sql which is embeded in the companion CD. I am new to Oracle and mayb be wrong here. But this is where the previous responses of this thread indicated.
You don't need to install all the Companion CD.<br>
You just can extract the following from the 10g Companion CD :<br>
Save the sql scripts, and run the hr_main.sql, or follow the steps from the doc Sample Schemas 10g Release 1 (10.1) Part No. B10771-01<br>
