Yes, since your blog was posted in a profile area and not a part of a dedicated community, in order to preserve the data, you must either:
1) Create a new message in this area (Personal Document & Blog Archive and click "Start a New Discussion") for the first entry of your blog and put the rest of the entries as replies to that post.
2) Create a new message in this area (Personal Document & Blog Archive and click "Start a New Discussion") for each individual blog post. Each entry will receive an individual URL this way.
Copying everything manually in times of database automation
Thank god I had only 7 blog posts and everything else written at my personal blog....
For me it is surely a time consuming task as i have 36 blog posts
But will do it to avoid loosing them.

Followed the steps.
Tags could not be simply copy-pasted.
Tags could not be copied in as a comma separated line.
Had to edit them separate and then paste one by one.
It looks like an attached file needs to be downloaded first and then uploaded to its new location.
