Have just installed ILM-assistant 1.0 on EE 10.2.0.3 + APEX 2.2.1.
In the Lifecycle Setup -> Lifecycle Tables page all the values in the "Storage Size" column is zero - even as I have gathered statistics for the physical tables. Do I miss any specific setting or did I fail to push a specific button?
Going through the partition simulation seems to work OK, but of cause the report does not show any interesting savings if the Assistant does not think any storage will be used.
Have a nice day - Martin
By default, we display storage sizes in gigabytes. For a relatively small table, the size may be too small to show up in that column. To verify this, expand the Filter Options just above the list of tables. Change the Size Metric to MB or KB and press Go. This should allow you to view the actual storage sizes for smaller tables.
Let us know if this helps! :)
Thanks - Spot on - my table where too small ...
Allow me to suggest that the migration script should include a "alter table <table_name> enable row movement" command.
And should the generated partitioned have the oldest partitions compressed according to the lifecycle definition, so we may avoid an extra move operation?
Just some thoughts - Martin
