    how many files begin with lk here?
    /export/home/oracle/products/10.2.0/dbs

    only lkORCL? or there another. Are your database SID is ORCL?

    may be post the output for this command
    ls -l /export/home/oracle/products/10.2.0/dbs/lk*

    EDIT: never mind :)

    On a PC people have managed to create two RAC instances which is not a supported configuration, but doing this can be useful as a learning tool.

    Under the Windows OS the Oracle rdbms backgroud processes do not run as separate processes like on UNIX or VMS but are threads. We cannot be sure but it does appear that the OP's site has somehow attempted to start two databases using the same instance name.

    user549317, I think the suggest to reboot the server is a good idea at this point. It is probably the safest, fastest, and most effective path open to you at this point. Make sure you have your Oracle environment variable set for the correct database. You should not be attempting to access the same instance as the develoers are using.
