I've put it into the weekly APEX Forum wrap-up on my blog.

I tried the same with Apex 3.0 on Oracle 11g Beta, where it should be supported. Though when i start the apex page i don't see images. I installed apex 3.0 with /i/ as image directory. I also copied the image directory to /i/ through ftp (so now it is /i/images/). Is this right or should it be /i/ with the the contents of the images folder (so no images subdirectory)?

I think it should be just /i/ - not /i/images/
The apex_epg_config.sql script will copy them there. I still needed to follow some of the extra steps to get it to work after running it.
The apex_epg_config11.sql didn't work for me. I think it tries to use a feature that wasn't included in the beta yet.
I will try to put the content of the images directory in the i directory. The this is that ApEx was installed during 11g beta installation of my database. When i look in the ftp of XML DB, it has an images directory. Though i installed apex 3.0 (while looking in my 11g database the flow schema was named 0202xxxx or something like that) and give the /i/ directory as image directory. I also can reinstall apex with the /images/ directory, then it will probably also work. Thanks for the answer.
The apex_epg_config.sql script will rename the old /i/ folder and upload new images to the correct location.
