We have just upgraded some machines from Windows XP SP 2 to Windows Vista Business. Since the upgrade, Oracle Messenger is not working at all. When I try to connect to our OCS Server, Oracle Messenger Immediately shows an error message: "Connection failed. The connection cannot be established with the server. Try again later."
We have tried several workarounds:
- Disabling Windows Firewall
- Disabling Windows Defender
None of them have worked.
please help me!!!
Did you have to set some parameters on Windows Vista ? Or did you just installed Oracle Messenger and it worked right ? What parameters are you talking about on Vista ?

I saw an earlier poster said they had Oracle Messenger up and running on Vista 32.
What version of Messenger?
Also, did you have to do anything special to get it working or just installed it and it worked?
Hello, I have Oracle Messenger working perfectly on Vista Ultimate 64bit. No issues. The installation and config was exactly the same as on XP or 2000...
Maybe an network config issue on Vista is preventing you from connecting...
Why is it everytime someone states they've got Oracle IM working on Vista they are conveniently vague about the settings. Sergey was asked "only" 3 years ago. If someone does in fact, has Oracle RTC working on Vista can you tell us your settings. Even Oracle Help doesn't seem to be able to get to work on our machines.
