Hi I don't want webcache to cache .gif objects since mine changes frequently. But even though I have turned off the rule for cache images in "caching, personalization, and compression rules". It still is cached.
When I check the "popular request" page in webcache i see the cache reason is BY_SURROGATE_CONTROL_HEADER.
How do I change this ?
I access the image directly from disk like http://portal.nn.no/images/test.gif.
So I can't set the header like in a portlet. I tried to find anywhere in the apache config where I could set the surrogate-control to no-store but with no luck.
anyone who got any suggestions.
There is difference between the content served by Oracle Portal and the content served by Apache/OHS. Your "cache exclusion" rule would work for the latter. The former is controlled by Oracle Portal.
