    Starting DBCA

    467835
      I trying to launch DBCA through UNIX. It shows me following messages,

      DEVDB:/export/home/oracle> . oraenv
      ORACLE_SID = [O10G] ? SEED
      DEVDB:/export/home/oracle> dbca
      DISPLAY not set.
      Set DISPLAY environment variable, then re-run.
      DEVDB:/export/home/oracle> set ORACLE_SID= SEED
      DEVDB:/export/home/oracle> dbca
      DISPLAY not set.
      Set DISPLAY environment variable, then re-run.

      Which display i need to set and how?

          If you did log in as oracle user, then try

          DEVDB:/export/home/oracle> export DISPLAY=:0.0
          DEVDB:/export/home/oracle> dbca

          If you did su from root, then log out oracle, as root execute

          # xhost +

          and su again.
