Deleting Statements with Blank Node Objects Using Jena Adaptor

I'm trying to use the Jena Adaptor to delete all the statements about a single subject, some of which have literal objects and others have blank node objects. I'm using the Model removeAll() method, with the subject param populated, and the predicate and object params null. The statements with literal objects are all deleted, but the statements with blank node objects aren't.

Even if I get a StmtIterator object and call model.remove() on the statements, they are not removed.

Am I doing something wrong? Do I need to use a different approach to delete statements with blank node objects?
