I'm working on a .Net application that leverages the Web Services API to find and merge duplicate Account records within our CRM On Demand database. In the past (and in this case), I've been able to write programs that use the QueryPage and other methods, but I can't figure out how to invoke the MergeRecords method. I found the documentation on the MergeRecords method (in the Siebel Web Services On Demand Guide), but have not been able to translate that into working C# code. Has anyone successfully programmed something similar?
Just to update what I managed to discover. I was mistakenly looking for the MergeRecords() method as part of the Account WSDL, but the MergeRecords method is provided via a separate WSDL (service). One of the arguments to the method is what record type you are merging.
