Well I am also trying the same SQL query. I downloaded it and executed but it then opens up a popup window which asks me values for Bind Variables. some of them are :DOCUMENTPROPERTIES, :AUTHOR, :LASTAUTHOR, :CREATED. When I put some dummy value for all these variables then it gives me the error "ORA-00922: missing or invalid option"

        2 questions:
        1. What value should I put for all these variables ( Though I put dummy values)
        2. How to remove this error.

        Any Clues???

        Thnx in Advance.

Excellent work Denes on the package, it has help us all!

I am not sure if this question was answered yet, I have been going through all of the responses in this thread, and didn't find a distinct answer.

The question is, is there a way to have the numeric values as numeric in excel and not as text?

It seems when I am download the excel file all of the cell values are formatted as text, when I would like them to be numeric.

I also noticed that happening when I download your excel file from your site. The numbers are stored as text.

          Thanks!

If I read the error message I see

                  select from (select ...)

This is not a correct SQL statement.

Why don't you try with this (removed the alias column names generated automatically):
                  SELECT order_id, order_date, order_mode, customer_id, order_status,
                         order_total, sales_rep_id, promotion_id
                    FROM oehr_orders

I can't say much about this error. Looks like the report can't be located so it doesn't get the columns from your report - this is why it says "select from (...)". Go through the "how to" document and make sure there are not things you left out. Especially the application item naming.

                        Hi Denes,

Thank you very much for your package it works a charm, good job.
I tested too your package - "export_xml_pkg", Export to XML. I works fine too (of course). I'm trying to use this package with Interactive Reports but with no success. Is it possible to alter your package to allow this or already exists a package for XML export of an Interactive Report?

                        Regards Pedro.

                          Pedro,

I don't have anything for the interactive reports. However, you may try to modify it.

Thank you Denes for your fast reply,

do you think it's feasible to change your package for Interactive Report exports to XML??

hello, I'm filtering my table by date, i have code like this:

                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                select * from vizit_full

                                where REG_DATE BETWEEN :P1_DATEPICKER
                                AND :P1_DATEPICKER2
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

without "where - AND" it works , but when i'm using where excel gives me error , here it is:

                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
                                Report Values Error: ORA-06550: line 1, column 329: PL/SQL: ORA-00907: missing right parenthesis ORA-06550: line 1, column 157: PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored / -6550 / select ID,REG_DATE,GVARI,SAXELI,MASPINZELI,PERSON_ID,MISAMARTI,OTHER_PERS,BEGIN_DATE,END_DATE,STATUS,VIZKAR_N,TANAMDEBOBA_ID from ((SELECT v('P1_DATEPICKER2') FROM DUAL)om vizit_full where REG_DATE BETWEEN (SELECT v('P1_DATEPICKER') FROM DUAL) AND (SELECT v('P1_DATEPICKER') FROM DUAL)2 )
                                -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                                  Hi Regent1904 ,

                                  Try this instead of "between"
or check the date format date_items choose "Date Picker (DD-MM-YYYY)" it should work ..

                                  select * from vizit_full
                                  where
                                  REG_DATE >= :P1_DATEPICKER
                                  AND
                                  REG_DATE <= :P1_DATEPICKER2

                                  Regards,
