Sorry I didn't clarify that but yes only connecting to the console causes the bad behavior -- which may be difficult to enforce.
You may be able to disable that port in terminal services configuration -- haven't tried.
That's a loaded question.
Last semi-official communication I received was it was due between August'09 and September'09 -- the caveat was this was a target date and there were no guarantees.
The release includes enhancements in addition to the normal bug fixes -- my personal opinion is I would rather they just pound out a defect free release and let the enhancements wait a bit however they obviously have to compete with any new features IBM puts in Cognos and SAP puts in Business Objects so that opinion may be a little naive.
My biggest pet peeve with 22.214.171.124 right now is the text editor in Calc Manager is pretty much unusable and randomly works woe is me for using EPMA. This being said if you have a piece of code that works it does work fine from a user perspective so it's just the developers (who use text rules) that are impacted by the quirks of Calc Manager.
