Please reply if anyone has faced this kind of issue before.
I got this resolved by myself. I have used a static text in my report with html code. HTML code contains   for space. And the issue was that I did not terminate   with a semicolon. That caused the error.
Solution: If you are using html for leaving space between sentences, then always terminate like this -

I am facing the same issue. I need spaces in my report in the Static view.
If i add & nbsp with out semi colon, i am getting the error while printing to PDF.
If i add & nbsp; (with semi colon) , i am able to print to PDF, but with out spaces.
I am only getting one default space and not the other spaces.
& nbsp; - this means just one space. So, in order to have a long gap between the words/sentences then try to use as many & nbsp; as needed.
Sample & nbsp;& nbsp;& nbsp; Text
Hope this helps.

Hi Thanks for the quick reply.
I have used multiple & nbsp; in the code. The Print to HTML is fine, but print to PDF trucates all the spaces.
I also got a similar error and resolved it by removing the special characters from my static text. Hope this helps someone.
I removed special characters ":", "&" and left all the "[br/]" references..... resolved the following error: Sax parser returned an exception. Message: Expected entity name for reference, Entity publicId: , Entity systemId: , Line number: 4471, Column number: 15
