thanks for looking into this.
Has anyone had the problem with the application losing connection to the EM? I can login then it immediately kicks me out due to "Lost EM Connection". Anyone have a solution?
Consider your EM GC URL is http://emgc.mycompany.com:4889/em/console/logon/logon/. I am assuming you would be using a similar URL to login to the widget.
Instead of that, could you please use a shorter URL version http://emgc.mycompany.com:4889/em/ and try to login to the widget?

how can I bypass the logon screen .. I want to integrate the widget with an APEX app and I can supply the URL, UID and PWD ...
At the moment this is not possible.
We'll definitely consider this in the future release.
But if you can elaborate your requirement and post it in the widget feedback form (the feedback button is available on the right side of the widget's title bar), that would help us a lot.
Would've been nice if the widgets were released for other OS'es as well e.g. Mac OS X....
Thanks for the feedback!
According to the information given by Adobe, AIR file are suppose to work in Mac and Linux OS.
But we have not tested the widgets on Mac and Linux, so we can not confirm how it will perform.
Widgets are working on Mac OS X just fine because they are running on Adobe Air platform. It works fine on my Mac.
It should work on any platform that's running Adobe Air framework.
Thanks for the confirmation, this is great news! To be honest, I thought it might as Air is cross-platform compatible, but haven't had the time to test this.
The readme only lists Windoze as required OS - probably what they used for dev & testing...

Is it possible to enable the "Oracle Service Level & Monitoring Widget" to be re-sized? I see that there is an option in the application.xml for this, but if you modify it the widget fails to launch.
At the moment all 3 widgets are in fixed size, you will not able to resize it. In the future release we'll try to provide this flexibility.
While i've got the widgets working on windows still having issues on running the widgets on ubuntu .
Has anyone tried settingu p Air and running the widgets in a ubunutu workstation.
Also is there an API that users can use to develop more widgets or atleast a widgets request mechanism.
At the moment we have not exposed the API's to customers for developing the widgets. It may be included in the future release.
But you can request for more widgets or report any issues through the 'feedback' form attached with each widget. It can be accessed from the top right side of the widget's title bar.
i installed the new desktop widgets. All widgets works fine. My Probelm is the widget for "High load DB". It is running but, i can not see the graphical display (bar chart) . I only see the SID from databases and the correspondending value.
What can i do, so that i see graphical display (bar chart)? (OS: Windows XP, GridControl 10.2.0.5.0)
Could you please send me a screenshot of the widget? (Both views Bar chart and the Treemap).
