I receive the following error when I attempt to create a breadcrumb entry:
This Menu Identification Page already has an associated Menu Option. You must select another page.
This page (page 8) is not listed under any of the 3 breadcrumbs for this application.
I want page 8 to have as its parent page1:
This is how I define the breadcrumb:
Parent Entry - Reports (Page 1)
Short Name All Computers with S/W
Long Name All Computers with S/W
Target is a Page in this Application
_ reset pagination for this page
Clear Cache (comma separated page numbers)
Set these items (comma separated name list)
With these values (comma separated value list)
Can someone please help me? This is no documentation about this error. I searched the Forum and I found the same problem in 2008 that was unanswered (This Menu Identification Page already has an associated Menu Option.
I found out when I select Tabular View, page 8 comes up in the breadcrumb REPORTS, but when in Hierarchial View, it does not show. I will delete it in the Tabular view and then create the breadcrumb region in page 8.
I'll let you know the results.
Possibly. I think it would depend on how you delete breadcrumbs - I delete the regions on the pages and then the breadcrumb definition. It would help, as you say, if there were a means of checking for orphaned items. Application Reports, Page Components, Regions by Type, "Display Type, and Template" will tell you if there are any breadcrumb regions in your app - these are shown as Region Type "Menu" - but it doesn't show if these regions are actually linked to valid breadcrumb entries
