      Hi,

I have a problem starting database.
When I start database (oraclexe) from SQLPLUS I get this error:
      ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kccpb_sanity_check_2], [2101],
      [2100], [0x0], [], [], [], []

      Anyone encounterd such a problem?

On which platform and what is the database version.
By the way, for ORA-00600 metalink is the best place to look at.

Try to recreate your controlfiles, and if that doesn't help restore your last valid backup.
By the way, is it the first startup of your db ? And if not (I mean if it worked before), what did you change on the database/server side ?

              Nicolas.

                Hi,

Did you already take a look at alert log file (alert_xe.log) for more information?

                Cheers

                  Hi N. Gasparotto ,

                  How to create control file?

And is not the first startup. It was up and running for some months.
I did not change anything on server.
I think reason for problem is unexpected cut of power supply.

                      To recreate a control file,issue:
                      alter database backup controlfile to trace;
Check your trace file and modify/copy/paste in sqlplus.

After the power failure your controlfile may have ended up corrupted. Do you have a multiplexed controlfile? Before trying to rebuild your controlfile, get a cold backup and try to use the copy from the multiplexed controlfile.

                          I have the same problem ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [kccpb_sanity_check_2], [11713],[11710], [0x0], [], [], [], [], when I try to mount database oracle.

How could I know If I have multiplexed controlfile?, and How could I get a cold backup?. Because I am going to create ControlFile, but I hope I can find a better solution.

Thanks in advance for your help,

                            Hi,

                            >>How could I know If I have multiplexed controlfile?
At SQL*PLUS type show parameter control_files

                            >>and How could I get a cold backup?
I'm not sure what did you mean. If you have a valid cold backup, then you can use it to restore all database files. Otherwise, that isn't the best solution in your case.

                            >>Because I am going to create ControlFile, but I hope I can find a better solution.
The better solution is re-create the control file ...

                            Cheers

First of all, specify your oracle version and os platform. An ora-00600 is always a very serious matter. If you are not sure about how to proceed I strongly suggest you to address this issue to customer support.

If your controlfile is currently not multiplexed there is nothing you can do about it, your controlfile most probably is corrupt by now. You can verify either way, if you have at least one more copy of your controfile, then you can say it is multiplexed, startup the instance up to the nomount level and query the V$PARAMETER view, look for the parameter name control_files or issue the command show parameter controlfile, this will let you know how many multiplexed controlfiles you have.

You should have a valid backup now. Are you the dba, or is there a dba responsible for taking backups? In order for you to take a backup, if you haven't done so, shutdown your instance and backup your controlfiles, and datafiles, just in case you are not successful in solving this issue, at least you can have a base line where you can come back and leave the environment just exactly as you find it now, so in case a second attempt has to be made it doesn't get unnecessarily complicated.

When I try to login to one of my database using enterprise manager console i get this error. I tried with sys username and password and it works fine for me. For a while ago I got the same error when tried with another database in this same tree and for that database i am good now without doing anything. Why does this happen? Is there anything conflicting in my local system or database? What should i do and where should i look for the error?

My database configuration for these are ORACLE 10g 10.2.0.4 and solaris 10. These are my pre production and test servers. Please help and i am new to database administration.
