I am trying to install weblogic 10.3.2 on Linux 64 bit ( JDK 1.6.16 for 64 linux)
While running wls1032_generic.jar with the following command
java -jar wls1032_generic.jar (all the java home settings were correctly pointed to appropriate java version only)
Got the following error "fatal error occured . This application will terminate" immediately after "Choose Product installation directories" screen.
Please help me out if i need to do perform any other pre-requisites or am i missing anything here.
Also let me know if there is any installation guide available for 10.3.2 on Linux 64 bit.
Just to add to the triage.
Oracle WebLogic 10.3.2.0 installs fine on Windows 7 64-bit edition HP and Professional - but runs as a 32-bit java process by default unless you swap out the JVM for a 64-bit version - from...

Anyone at Oracle has a clue of what might be wrong?
The Oracle Weblogic R2 installation fails with A fatal error has occurred. This application will terminate. (- Very descriptive, indeed)
always when pressing next on "Choose Product Installation Directories" page.
For me '-log=/tmp/deb.log -log_priority=debug' showed that the install had run out of heap space and the command
java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -jar wls1032_generic.jar
The linux version includes the 32bit JVM but that doesn't mean it's only for 32 bit Systems. You can run 32bit JVM on 64bit systems. I'm not sure if you wanted to use the 64bit JVM but your reply suggested that you might be under the impression that the Linux version can't run on 64bit machine.
