      Thanks & Regards

          Hi;

          You have to install first 10.2.0.1 then you have to apply Patch 6810189 -- 10.2.0.4.0 PATCH SET FOR ORACLE DATABASE SERVER

          Please check Re: Confused with oracle 10.2 for more details,i belive you will find your thread answer in it.

            Ok, so I have to install 10.2.0.1 and then apply the patches.

            please let me check whether we can download the 10.2.0.4 version !!

            Shall get back to you soon.

            Thanks & Regards

              You need to have a metalink/support accout to download patches.

                and to get such an account you need a valid CSI which means you or your company need to be an Oracle customer. Here the url:

                https://support.oracle.com/

                Cheers,

                  Hi Saswata;

                  As David's post, you need to customer support identifier which is called CSI for can login metalink(link is mention by David already)
                  If you dont have metalink account there is no way to download this patch.

                  Pretty simple process:

                  1) You purchase a perpetual or term license from Oracle;
                  2) At the beginning of the period, during the valid term you purchase
                  Support for the period (1 year);
                  3) Oracle sends you the CSI.

                  Easy to do at http://store.oracle.com armed with a credit card.
